PEDAGOGY:
The traditional way of learning has much potency—turning the pages of a book, taking copious notes, creating meticulous study guides, finding learning gaps, or [merely] paying attention to homework mistakes.
Our family believes in this old-worn path: deliberate, sentient learning—where we leave no room for shortcuts to understanding any material. When we replace restlessness with patience and haste with intention, learning anything challenging somehow becomes less burdensome. Development evolves into a straightforward and intuitive process, becoming part of the individual’s growth. We begin to get a glimpse of the hidden joys of learning … even in something as rigorous (and tedious) as a standardized exam.

“ The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character—that is the goal of true education.”
