Musings About The Cancelled SAT Exams
As some of you may already know, The College Board has recently informed students that the SAT tests in May and June have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I understand that it is difficult to have important events postponed, such as standardized testing. As a graduating senior I too have had my fair share of important events stripped from me: graduation, prom, [in-person] standard AP testing. Nevertheless, all of us need to come together during this pandemic.
The disenchantment I feel matches that of students all around the world, but we can persevere. For those who are no longer able to take the SAT this summer, here some positives to take into consideration: students have more time to prepare for tests, schools will accommodate these adversities, and the stress of testing during a pandemic has been relieved.
Eventually, our lives will return to normal, but for now, we must remain patient and positive.
